ClipIG

Privacy Policy

Draft explanation of how ClipIG handles submitted links, temporary verification data, media sources and optional analytics.

Draft for operator review. Not legally reviewed.

Information used to process a link

When you submit a link, the service processes the URL, selected language and verification token to respond to your request. Cloudflare receives connection information, including your IP address, to deliver and protect the service.

The application does not persist submitted URLs, raw IP addresses, videos or signed media links. Rate limiting uses a short-lived counter key derived from the connection IP and date. This pseudonymous key is not an anonymity guarantee.

External services and media

Cloudflare hosts the site and provides rate limiting and, when enabled, Turnstile verification. A configured authorized media provider receives the normalized media identifier and original canonical link when you submit it.

Loading a preview or opening a file connects your browser directly to the media source. That source may receive your IP and apply its own privacy practices. ClipIG does not ask for your Instagram password.

Analytics, cookies and advertising

Cloudflare Web Analytics is optional and is loaded only when the operator configures its token. The application has no advertising scripts in V1 and does not set its own account or tracking cookies.

Cloudflare and enabled security services process data under their own terms. This policy must be updated with the actual provider identity, retention rules, operator contact and any advertising or consent requirements before public launch.

Requests and retention

Use the Contact page to reach the operator once a contact channel is published. Avoid including passwords, access tokens or sensitive personal information.

Application request logging is disabled by default. Cloudflare may retain infrastructure or security data under its applicable service policies; the operator must verify those settings before launch.
